If you are a chicken lover, then you know that there is no better way to enjoy the delicious taste of chicken than to cook it yourself.  With the right recipes, you can create delicious and authentic dishes that will make your mouth water.  Here are two popular and authentic chicken recipes that will tantalize your taste buds and make you fall in love with chicken all over again.

Butter Chicken Recipe

Butter chicken is a popular Indian dish made with marinated chicken cooked in a rich and creamy tomato-based sauce.  The sauce is made with butter, cream, garlic, ginger, and spices like garam masala and cumin.  This dish can be served with either rice or naan bread for a delicious meal.  With its unique flavor profile and ease of preparation, it’s no wonder that butter chicken has become such a popular dish!

In a mixing bowl, add raw chicken, salt, ginger, garlic paste, lemon juice, and red chili powder.  Mix well and refrigerate for 15 minutes.  To this mix, add curd followed by more salt, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, mustard oil, and kasuri methi.  Mix and refrigerate for one hour.  Roast this marinated chicken for 30 minutes in an oven.

To prepare the gravy, heat two teaspoons of oil with butter in a pan.  Add cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick and sauté them.  Add garlic, ginger, and tomatoes.  Mix them and grind.  Take another pan and heat two butter cubes with garlic-ginger paste.  Add the pureed mixture with red chili powder, honey, kasuri methi, and chicken pieces.  Lastly, add cardamom powder, green chili and cream and mix well.

Chicken Curry Recipe

Chicken curry is a classic dish that has been enjoyed by people all over the world for centuries.  This flavorful, aromatic dish is made with a combination of spices and herbs and cooked in a tomato-based sauce.  It’s easy to make and can be served with rice or naan bread.  Whether you’re making it for a family dinner or just for yourself, this chicken curry recipe will have everyone coming back for more!

To prepare chicken curry, sprinkle 2 tsp salt on the chicken breasts.  In a skillet, heat oil and cook the chicken in batches in hot oil until browned on every side.  Transfer to a plate and put it aside.  In the same pan, add onion, ginger, and garlic to the remaining oil.  Stir and cook until the onions turn translucent and soft for 5 minutes.  Stir turmeric, cayenne, coriander, cumin, and curry powder with 1 tbsp water in the onion mixture.  Next, add tomatoes, yogurt, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tbsp chopped cilantro to it and stir.  Add chicken breast and pour half a cup of water.  Let it boil.  Turn the chicken nicely to coat it. Sprinkle garam masala. Cover the pan and simmer for 20 minutes.  Drizzle with some lemon juice and serve hot.
